MEDIEVAL DAY AT PREM CASTLE

See what life was like hundreds of years ago! In July, the Prem Castle comes back to life in all its medieval glory as the Chivalry Day takes place. All family members can meet medieval artisans, make their own noble seal and indulge themselves in a very medieval feast! 


What to expect?

- walking with planks and stilts

- throwing knitted rings on cones

- throwing horseshoes

- bocce with wooden balls

- throwing balls on a rope to a ladder

- throwing hammers

- throwing darts made of fabric into hanging buckets

- jumping in jute bags

- playing wooden board games (chess, three in a row, mill, balls on gallows)

- fishing with wooden rods

- breaking pots

- sealing of antique envelopes

- calligraphy

- production and demonstration of perfumes

- archery

- demonstration of cooking medieval dishes

- medieval music with classical guitar and wooden flute

- learning medieval dance from the 15th and 16th century


5 p.m. - Enchanted princess dramatic dance play

Medieval characters will try to dispel the enchanted princess in different ways. With which object or skill will they succeed?


6 p.m. - Archery tournament

Visitors will be able to learn how to handle a bow and then compete for a prize in a tournament.



Tickets

Tickets will be available on the day of the event at Tourist Information Centre next to the Prem Castle.

ticket - reduced (pensioners, children over 3.99 years, pupils, students): €8.00

children up to 3.99 years: free


Parking

Parking is possible in the parking lot under Prem Castle and in the parking lot under the church of St. Helene (approx. 350 m from the castle).
