Uršnja Luknja near Šembije - home of the Neanderthal prehistoric man

Uršnja luknja near the village of Šembije, Ilirska Bistrica is a smaller, about 15 meters long karst cave. It is dry for most of the year and has little stalactites. In the middle of the 19th century, the recluse Urša lived in the cave, after whom the cave got its name.
